New CD

Cadenza at Stirling Castle, December 2009

Unmissable opportunity to be involved in Cadenza’s exciting new project!

Cadenza is “on track” to record its next CD in February 2012, with the launch planned for the summer, in time for the Christmas market.

All the carols or arrangements of carols will be from the 20th or 21st century, with a strong Scottish emphasis, making Cadenza’s new CD unique – there are no other CDs devoted to Christmas music from modern-day Scotland.

The full track-listing is still under wraps, but we can reveal that there will be a mix of accompanied (by piano or organ) and a cappella carols, and that it will include carols by Ken Johnston (whose credits include the wonderful O Columba and Song for St Cecilia – both to be found on our last CD Voices of Joy), Rory Boyle, David McGuiness and Graham Morrison, as well as the overall winnner, runner up and audience prizewinner from Waverley Care’s 2010 international Christmas carol-writing competition, and a new carol by our Patron, Ben Parry.

Cadenza has been active with various fundraising activities during the past year, and one major event was our Auction of Promises.  Although the bidding is now closed, you can still see the various goodies that were available here.

We are still looking for partners to work with us to fund the CD through corporate or individual sponsorship. All donations are welcome, large or small. We can offer a range of benefits and advertising options which will give excellent value in return for your support.

More details will be available on this page as soon as possible, but why not contact us now for more information or to discuss how we can help each other?
