Christmas Carols at Stirling Castle 2009
Cadenza were delighted to be invited to take part in a Christmas Concert organised by Historic Scotland in the beautiful setting of Stirling Castle on Sunday 13 December 2009. Cadenza were joined by an excellent accordian player from a local children’s school and costumed story-tellers for a truly magical evening!
The concert took part in the Great Hall, originally completed in 1503 by James IV and recently restored to it’s former glory after being used since 1800 as accomodation for the army. Hopefully these pictures taken before and during the concert show the splendour of the hall and the choir enjoying the surroundings.
- The choir rehearse in the cold of the Great Hall – the open fire obscured from view was lit and was slowly kippering the last row of basses!
