Cadenza are delighted to be back performing at the Fringe in the impressive surroundings of Greyfriars Kirk, fresh from their sell-out 2022 performance.
Programme
Under the baton of new Musical Director Timothy Coleman, we perform music from two female composers:
- Thea Musgrave – The Voices of our Ancestors
- Chiara Margarita Cozzolani – Vespers
Musgrave’s The Voices of our Ancestors is performed with SATB soloists, brass quintet and organ and features settings of 12 poems that examine the question of human existence. This work is rarely performed so our concert is an exciting opportunity to experience this work.
Cozzolani was was an early Baroque composer, singer and Benedictine nun, publishing her Vespers while cloistered in the convent of Santa Radegonda, Milan. We perform this alongside brass, strings and continuo.
Tickets
Tickets are £15, £13 concessions and £4 schoolchildren and are available from choir members or the Fringe Box Office.
Friends of Cadenza, who are eligible for a 20% discount on these prices, will be contacted directly.
