Cadenza Concert Performance at Greyfriars Kirk

After an enforced absence from the Fringe since our performance in August 2019, Cadenza are absolutely delighted to be back at Greyfriars once again for our annual Fringe performance. We hope you will be able to join us in what will be a triumphant return to the world’s largest arts festival.

We will perform Handel’s joyous coronation anthem Zadok the Priest and his Foundling Hospital Anthem with its famous last chorus Hallelujah, Lotti’s Missa Sapientiae, admired by Handel (who owned a score), all with orchestral accompaniment. Plus, two a cappella settings of Beati Quorum Via by Stanford and Janet Wheeler.

Programme

  • Lotti: Missa Sapentiae
  • Handel: Foundling Hospital Anthem
  • Handel: Zadok the Priest
  • Stanford: Beati Quorum Via
  • Wheeler: Beati Quorum Via
