Cadenza has amassed a comprehensive library of SATB music, covering a wide range of styles from classical to jazz, secular and sacred. Some of these are individual part songs, others more comprehensive Masses, and some with full orchestra scores too. Our library reflects over 25 years of striving for excellence in performance in a diversity of styles. And we’re delighted to share it with you!
Most of our library contains approx 50-60 copies of each item, reflecting our current singing strength.

Hire Costs
We have a simple pricing structure: one-twelfth (1⁄12) of the cost price of the item, per 1 month hire (or part thereof).
This is our standard charge – however, being users of music hire schemes ourselves, we understand that one-size doesn’t necessarily fit all. If there is something in our library which you need, please get in touch with us to discuss further.
Terms of Hire
We don’t believe in unwieldy terms of hire, but we do understand they are necessary. We’ve kept them as simple as we can:
- Return music to us in the condition you received it in (normal wear-and-tear aside, of course). We expect you to treat our music as if it were your own.
- Do not use pen or ink on our music – pencil only please! And please rub out your markings before returning the music to us: this includes any of your own choir numbering on the front page.
- If you lose a copy, or it is so badly damaged as to be unusable, we will need to charge the full replacement cost.
- For local hirers (Edinburgh area), we will do what we can to arrange mutually-convenient meetings to hand music across to avoid postage costs. If you are further away, we are happy to post music to you at your sole expense.
