Following on from our first (and highly successful) video on YouTube, we are proud to present our newest offering available now!
This beautifully-shot video was recorded in the stunning surroundings of The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh and in St John’s Church, Lothian Road, in October 2021. This was shortly after the choir returned to in-person rehearsals, and the chance to perform a piece in the relative safety of outdoors was welcomed by many in the choir. After two years of Zoom rehearsals and cancelled concerts, it was a relief to the choir to be able to work towards something that was highly unlikely to fall foul of any new restrictions du jour.
As with our first video, we engaged the help of the extremely-talented Spike Allibone from Night Train Productions, who was able to squeeze in a recording session before he had to work on a slightly smaller project called COP26!
We attracted quite the crowd during the session at the Botanics: partly to listen to some wonderful singing, but also in no small part to see what we were getting up to with a drone for some of the shots! It was a lovely experience, and one we hope to repeat at some point!
If you have a YouTube / Google account, we’d really appreciate if you could subscribe to our channel. And, once you’ve done that, you’ll be able to post some comments under the video letting us know what you thought of it.
